Among My Tangled Thoughts is a flow of consciousness poetry book detailing the emotional twists and turns of love, loss, trauma, and mental illness. Hunter addresses the reality of having a parent affected by addiction during the height of the opiate epidemic and the impact of growing up in poverty. Being the child of a single mother within a patriarchal society she faced the brunt of socioeconomic oppressive forces. Through this book she hopes she can help others to heal through words and bring awareness to the issues she and so many others have faced.
